Job Family: Asset Management and Marine Operations Contract Type: Direct Location: Business Line: Asset Management and Capital Projects Department: Maintenance Closing Date: 30-Jan-2025 The position holder is responsible for safely, timely, and cost-effectively leading the performance of all electrical-related maintenance day-to-day activities as per the asset management plans to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards.
  2. Carry out diagnosis of faults, maintenance, and repairs to all types of shipyard’s material handling and lifting equipment in a safe, timely, and professional manner and return assets to operational service.
  3. Carry out preventive maintenance scheduled and planned work orders as required and provide feedback to improve the program efficiency.
  4. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications to determine and correctly follow installation procedures.
  5. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair all types of HV and LV electrical & control systems failures including PLC controllers, analog and digital I/O, VFDs, transformers, motors (AC/DC), contactors, sensors, limit switches, power modules, etc.
  6. Safely shut down electrical & instrumentation systems and/or equipment to allow for inspections, renovations, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
  7. Support on-call response as needed.
  8. Log completion of work and enter adequate work orders history data into IFS.
  9. Work within 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain the workplace to a high standard.
  10. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality seamless customer service.
  11. Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  12. Lead, undertake, and support continuous training and development for young trainees and apprentices and train people within own work group.

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

  1. At least 9-12 years of hands-on experience in shipyards/offshore or similar industries.
  2. Working knowledge of OSHA and/or NEBOSH standards and practices is a must.
  3. Understanding of HSEQ practices.
  4. Strong knowledge of shipyard assets management requirements, all types of maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  5. Strong knowledge of shipyard assets operational requirements.
  6. Understanding of engineering, scientific, and other technical information.
  7. Advanced problem-solving skills.
  8. Planning and prioritizing activities.
  9. Excellent team working skills.
  10. Ability to train self and cascade knowledge to others.
  11. Good understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
