Summary/Objective

The Inventory Associate’s role will be responsible for receiving, movement of material to/from WIP Cage, issuing material to Production, and issuing finished products to customer orders.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  1. Receiving
  2. Review incoming documents to ensure the shipment belongs to Samtec
  3. Identify any suspicious or damaged packages
  4. Ensure total received quantity matches with incoming documents
  5. Create Parcel ID, Receive Parcel Vendor, move packages to IQC/accepted cart/Production/Non BOM transition area/outside contractor rack
  6. Movement of material to WIP Cage
  7. Pulling material from Central Inventory to WIP Cage
  8. Restock transferred material to IH WIP Cage
  9. Packing transferred material for other WIP Cage and moving to OC collection area
  10. Issue material to Production
  11. Pulling material from WIP Cage
  12. Issue material to order
  13. Restock balance material to WIP Cage
  14. Move the issued material to Production area
  15. Issue finished goods to customer orders
  16. Pulling finished goods from Central Inventory
  17. Restock balance finished goods to Central Inventory
  18. Move the issued finished goods to QA
  19. Parcel Accounting, Empty Wooden Reel Cleaning & Packing, documents filing, and housekeeping
  20. Any tasks/projects as assigned by Superior
  21. Adheres to all Samtec Quality Principles and actions

Required Experience

  1. 2 years in a related/similar position

Preferred Education

  1. Minimum High School Diploma or related technical/equivalent experience.
