TITLE - TEAM LEADER - INTERIOR DESIGNING Job Objective Team Leader plays a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Department and Assistant Head of Department in the strategic management and day to day operation of the Interior Designing department. This role involves leading and co-ordinating the efforts of the team ensuring project success and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage Interior Designing projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet design, budget and schedule objectives.
  • Ensure that project goals, timelines & milestones are communicated and adhered to.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Architecture, 3-D and construction to integrate Interior designs with overall project requirements
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise
  • Present and discuss design concepts addressing client feedback and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Provide updates on project progress and manage client expectations
  • Encourage continuous learning and skill development within the team
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues relate to project delays, design, conflicts, or client concerns.
  • Encourage the exploration of new design concepts and approaches
  • Provide design guidance and feedback to ensure design objectives are met.
  • Review Interior Design drawings, construction documents, and specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to design standards.
  • Verify that all project documents meet industry standards and local building codes.
  • Participate in site visits to gather information, assess existing conditions, and monitor construction progress.
  • Address on-site challenges and provide design solutions as needed.
Requirements and Skills
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Interior Designing is typically required.
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience in Interior Designing, with demonstrated leadership skills and project coordination experience.
  • Proficiency in Interior Designing software and tools.
  • IIID association will be plus.
  • Strong design creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to provide design guidance and feedback.
  • Project management experience, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Interior Designing principles, building systems, construction methods, and industry regulations.
