Well, we might have the perfect job for you! Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a HGV Technician to join our Vehicle Maintenance Unit in Milton Keynes, supporting our customer Waitrose. You will be carrying out Service repairs, MOT Inspections, Trailer Inspections, Trailer MOT prep, defects and running repairs to company vehicles. You’ll be joining a very experienced team so great chance to develop your skills and knowledge further! This is a full time, permanent position, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06:00 – 18:00. Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £52,529.00 per annum , and 23 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). - Maintain all vehicles, trailers and workshop equipment to company/legal standards to ensure maximum operational availability for the Transport Department
- Ensure that the care and condition of all Company equipment is maintained and report all defects/damages
- Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements
- Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy
- Completed a HGV/LGV apprenticeship
- Your own tools
- Full UK driving license
- Class 1 license is preferred but not essential
- Previous experience in reversing and moving vehicles into the workshop is desirable but training will be given
