BestStart Baverstock Oaks is seeking an experienced Centre Manager to lead our centre, licensed for 100 children, including 25 under two. Our vision is "Be your true self, Find your way." We aim to provide a holistic learning experience for children of all ages, cultures, and developmental stages. Our programme reflects the multicultural heritage of our community, with both indoor and outdoor activities playing key roles. It is guided by Te Whāriki, New Zealand’s Early Childhood Curriculum, alongside BestStart’s initiatives to prepare children for school. We have a supportive team that delivers engaging learning experiences, with parents actively involved in centre events throughout the year. With a team of 17, including several Provisionally Certified Teachers (PCTs), we need a Centre Manager with a few years of leadership experience to provide mentoring, guidance, and support. As a high-impact leader, reporting to an Area Manager, you will be passionate about delivering amazing learning outcomes for our children and you'll take pride in the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre! Being a great communicator and building fantastic relationships will be in your DNA. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Role requirements:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher certification
- Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, pedagogy and curriculum
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- You’ll be known for being a great coach, who can unlock the potential of others, you will have previous leadership experience
