Repair Team Leader Container Depot

What you will be doing: In this role you will be overseeing the repair and maintenance of containers managing the washing and cleaning process of containers and ensuring that all equipment and tools are properly maintained and in good working condition. You will also:
- Monitor stock levels of materials and spare parts ordering as necessary to avoid disruptions.
- Provide hands on support to staff on the ground time on tools leading by example.
- Liaise with other team leaders to ensure timely turn arounds of work bays.
- Ensure robust maintenance plans are in place and are followed.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control in all repair and wash functions.
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure it meets company standards.
- Monitor and ensure KPI targets are met and communicated to the depot manager.
- Ensure all repair activities are conducted in compliance with company health and safety policies.
- Conduct morning toolbox team meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of all repair and wash activities.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of any incidents accidents or nearmisses.
- 3 to 5 years of experience running a team in a workshop manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Hand on experience with welding and/or fabrication.
- The ability to work well in a team and an ability to lead by example.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring repairs are done accurately and to high standards.
- Fantastic organisational and time management skills to meet (and exceed) depot timeframes and keeping the depot running smoothly while maintaining productivity.
- The ability to prioritise your workload staying focused and organised in a busy environment.
- Willing to take on a variety of tasks as needed.
- Ability to prioritise health and safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
