Senior Landscape Architect

We require a passionate, talented, collaborative and experienced professional to join the Landscape Department, working directly with department management in setting up and managing a design excellence studio within the landscape department. Key accountabilities :

• The role is tasked with making early concepts tangible, starting from deep research and synthesis, and executed in the context of Project scope with a strong narrative and design statement.
• Promote creativity within the design studio.
• Oversee and be accountable for quality and timely delivery of output from the design studio.
• Demonstrate leadership skills with a wide knowledge and experience base across multi-disciplines
• Assist in structured recruitment and interface with design schools and universities.
• The role will involve travel overseas for client facing meetings and project specific tasks as and when required.

• Firm understanding of design process
• Competent designer
• Previous design studio experience with famous landscape studios/brands
• Department wide- technical leadership and strategic leadership skills

• A bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture/Design and preferably a postgraduate degree/diploma in Landscape architecture;
• Able to lead and develop all design narratives within the design studio
• Create design excellence and manage resourcing and role allocation within the design studio.
• Have previously obtained internationally recognised design awards for their work and actively seek future awards for the design studio
• Experienced in master planning/concept to schematic design
• Have had previous design experience in high end/exclusive developments including public realm and hospitality projects
• Able to communicate design through clear graphics including diagrams, site plans, sections and renderings to convey design intent
• Knowledge of materials including planting, furnishing and hardscape
• An ability to execute with design excellence and attention to detail
• The ability to sketch/develop designs on paper and digitally
• Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in working on a variety of scales and typologies varying from master planning to site specific landscapes
• Lead in developing marketing material and promote the design studio to a wider client base
• Positive, solution focused approach
• Proven ability to manage studio workload and time;
• Ability to build strong relationships with other departments, area offices, and project sites as required.
• Strong desire to deliver design excellence
• Ability to embed the new structure and develop new ways of working.
• Excellent technical skills, able to monitor design development.
