IMI2561 - Senior Specialist, Demand Planning Job Family Procurement and Supply Chain Management Contract Type Direct Location Business Line Procurement & Supply Chain Department Strategic Sourcing Closing Date 31-Dec-2024 JOB PURPOSETo support the development of the overall strategy of Demand Planning. The individual in this role isexpected to perform spend & category analysis and work closely with all internal stakeholders to capture theirdemand and develop planning strategies accordingly.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES• Lead the development, implementation, and update of all polices strategies, procedures and processrelated to demand planning.• Develop and work with the ERP team to ensure that PSCM requirements related to demand planningis implemented.• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned product categories or SKUs based on historicalsales data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams.• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to gather forecast inputs,understand demand drivers, and incorporate market intelligence into the forecasting process.• Analyze demand forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement through statisticalanalysis, trend analysis, and root cause analysis.• Work closely with procurement and production teams to ensure alignment between demand forecastsand supply plans, including procurement lead times, production capacity, and supplier capabilities.• Communicate demand forecast updates, changes, and insights to internal stakeholders and externalsuppliers as necessary.• Communicate with all internal stakeholders to ensure capturing accurate forecasting to theirmaterials/services requirements.• Develop baseline/ historical trend and forecasts models using excel and/or demand managementtools.• Analyze and interpret demand data and trends.• Provide input to all internal functions to help plan their activities accordingly.• Identify opportunities to enhance business performance through improved analytics and reporting.• Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained enabling them toachieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in theirroles.• Deliver briefs, updates, and reports as and when required.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEEducation: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, OperationsManagement, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent.Professional Qualifications: Demand Planning Certification/ MCIPS considered a plus.Experience: At least 6-15 years of relevant experience.Languages: • Excellent in communication skills in English (oral and written)• Arabic is plus.About Application ProcessIf you meet the criteria and you are enthusiastic about the role, we would welcome yourapplication.Tocomplete the application you would need the following document(s):
