FWD's customer-led and digitally enabled approach aims to deliver innovative propositions, easy-to-understand products and a simpler insurance experience.For more information, please visit www.fwd.comPURPOSESenior team member of the Strategy and M&A teamsThe Head of M&A Execution will be responsible for leading and managing the organisation's M&A initiatives.Drive the M&A execution and related project management, due diligence and valuation, working with key stakeholdersThought leader in M&A and related cross-functional areas (e.g. products, distribution, finance, actuarial and partnerships)Recognised source of innovative and thoughtful ideas for unique or complex matters or situationsKEY ACCOUNTABILITIESMarket scanning and deal sourcing, including identification of potential targets and partnerships. Enhance FWD's network of external advisors to source opportunitiesLead M&A team day-to-dayLead coordination and execution of M&A and investment projects, across the entire lifecycle of M&A initiatives including due-diligence, valuation, negotiations, investment memos and approval processes, post-deal integration, and post-deal performance tracking.Coordinate external advisorsKey stakeholder in working with Senior Executives in developing negotiation strategies as well as negotiating with external counterpartiesReview, comment and amend legal documents including distribution agreementsLead management, training and development of junior team membersDevelop and lead cross functional and country initiatives to deepen collaboration and knowledge sharingQUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCEAdvanced Business, Finance or Actuarial degree12+ years of M&A or investment banking related experienceProven experience in leading M&A processes and review and negotiation of transactions documentsHigh degree of business acumen and extensive knowledge of life insurance industryExperienced in managing cross-functional teams (internal and external stakeholders) and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple initiatives.KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLSM&A hands-on executionM&A transaction docs and negotiationStrategic thinkingInsurance business planning and financial modellingStrong financial modelling, insurance valuation and analytical skillsLeadership skills and capabilitiesExcellent communication and presentation abilities
