CoolPlanet operates in seventeen different global regions.Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead IT Systems Engineer to lead our IT infrastructure and operations. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our IT environment, from end-user support to network infrastructure, including interactions with VIP users and various departments, to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive technical support across all levels, including end-user support, hardware maintenance, network troubleshooting, systems administration, and security.Manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, including Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.Optimise the performance and efficiency of our IT operations using our Service Management tool, Jira.Manage cloud-based services (e.g., Google Workspace, JumpCloud, Office 365) and implement robust security measures to maintain SOC 2 compliance.Manage and control cloud-based document management systems, ensuring proper organisation, access control, and adherence to IT policies.Continuously evaluate and improve IT processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Maintain, update, and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain security and compliance.Conduct regular training sessions for end-users on IT systems, software, and best practices.Manage and execute IT projects, including hardware and software deployments, system upgrades, and security initiatives.Oversee relationships with IT vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement processes.Lead and mentor team members, providing guidance, training, and career development opportunities.Qualifications:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong technical expertise in Windows, macOS, and mobile device administrationExperience with network infrastructure, including VLANs, routers, switches, and firewallsProficiency in cloud-based services (e.g., Google Workspace, Office 365, Azure)Knowledge of security best practices, including threat assessment, vulnerability management, and incident responseExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCuriosity and a drive to stay up-to-date with the latest technologiesExperience with Jira Service ManagementKnowledge of JumpCloud, Google Workspace, and SOC 2 complianceCompTIA Network+ certificationExperience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutionsBenefits:Competitive salaryComprehensive health insurance plansRetirement savings plan with company matchEmployee Share Option SchemeGenerous paid time off and holidaysPersonal and Professional development opportunitiesCollaborative and innovative work environmentLocation:We are located in Powerscourt House, Enniskerry.
