Position Overview We are seeking a seasoned Group Health Policy Underwriter with a flair for client engagement, business development, and consultative advisory in B2B insurance underwriting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in underwriting group health policies and proactively contribute to cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, helping expand client portfolios while ensuring profitability and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Underwriting Excellence:

• Assess and evaluate group health insurance risks for corporate clients, ensuring pricing and terms align with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with actuaries to finalize optimal premiums for various group health plans.

• Engage directly with corporate clients and brokers to understand their business requirements, providing tailored group health solutions.
• Offer strategic advice to optimize clients’ health insurance plans, addressing cost efficiencies and coverage adequacy.

• Identify opportunities to expand product offerings by recommending complementary services and additional coverages.
• Partner with sales teams to position group health products effectively and support business growth.

• Coordinate with internal teams, such as claims, operations, and legal, to ensure smooth policy issuance and servicing.
• Act as the point of contact for large client escalations, resolving issues promptly and professionally.

• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor practices to provide innovative solutions and maintain a competitive edge.

• Educational Background: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Insurance, Business, or related fields. Certification in insurance or underwriting is preferred.
• Work Experience: 4–10 years in group health policy underwriting, with a strong understanding of the B2B insurance market.

• Proficient in risk assessment, policy structuring, and pricing strategies for group health insurance.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing group health policies in India.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with C-level executives and HR heads.
• Demonstrated ability to cross-sell/up-sell within existing client relationships.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills to handle complex underwriting cases.
