As Lead Principal Engineer Digital Design Architect at Infineon, you will drive innovation in microcontroller Sensor IPs. Your role involves breaking down requirements, evaluating third-party solutions, creating technical documentation, and collaborating cross-functionally to promote a cutting-edge development strategy. Job Description In your new role you will:
- Drive concept development and innovation in microcontroller Sensor IPs , leveraging a deep understanding of microcontroller architectures and applications
- Ensure the development of secure and reliable IPs by considering functional safety (ISO 26262), cyber security (ISO 21434), and production-related aspects
- Translate stakeholder and product requirements into hardware and software requirements , and define implementable solutions that meet those requirements
- Develop a deep understanding of Analog IP and provide detailed digital requirements , identifying and addressing potential gaps to ensure seamless integration and optimal solutions
- Create and own technical documentation (such as user manuals and data sheets) in line with internal processes, and ensure that safety architects have the necessary material to deliver work products compliant with ISO26262
- Collaborate cross-functionally with cluster architects, system engineers, application engineers, functional safety experts, design, verification, and validation teams to promote a state-of-the-art development strategy
- Perform technical risk management for microcontroller architecture and design across IP, subsystem, and SoC hierarchies, leveraging key knowledge of technical challenges and development constraints
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics , or a related technical field
- At least 15 years of relevant working experience in chip architecture, design , or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of microcontrollers and automotive/mixed-signal applications , with a strong understanding of the complexities and challenges involved
- Expertise in mixed-signal or DSP design
- A good understanding of the analog domain
- Experience working on SOC architectures based around mixed-signal IPs
- Proven experience in writing user manuals and defining data sheet values
- Basic knowledge of functional safety and cyber security standards
- Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) is a plus
- Working experience in international and cross-functional technical teams within a multicultural environment , with a proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively
- Fluency in English , with excellent written and verbal communication skills
