Position Overview: We are seeking a talented MBD Engineer - Battery Management System to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and testing software functions for high-voltage battery management systems. You will work on modeling lithium-ion batteries, developing state-of-the-art control algorithms, and ensuring the functional and performance requirements of the software are met. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced battery systems for the electric vehicle industry while working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Development of application software functions for the high voltage battery management systems
- Modeling lithium-ion batteries using equivalent-circuit and physics-based methods.
- Utilize model-based development tools, such as Simulink and Embedded Coder, to design, simulate, and generate production-ready code for BMS state and safety estimation algorithms.
- Develop test cases and debugging to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of the BMS software.
- Configure and optimize low-level control software and participate in design reviews, code inspections, and other engineering activities to ensure the quality and efficiency of the BMS software development process.
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary and multicultural project teams, both domestic and abroad
- Participate in quality checks, milestone reviews, and quality assessments to ensure.
- Deliver documentation related to model and algorithm development, ensuring adherence to ASPICE (Automotive SPICE) standards.
- Regularly report on software development status and progress to line management on a regular basis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university. A Master’s or PhD degree is a plus.
- Experience Model Based Design and Development (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink)
- In-depth knowledge of battery modeling using physical systems (e.g. Simscape)
- A strong understanding of lithium-ion battery chemistries (e.g., LFP, NMC) and the physics behind battery behavior
- Experience in auto code generation methods, preferably using MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience in software unit testing, integration, and validation testing processes
- Knowledge of version control systems (GIT/SVN/Synergy) and issue tracking tools like Jira.
- Familiarity with the AUTOSAR architecture.
