MAIKA Baby and Child Caregiver Job Description & Responsibilities

• Look after the basic needs of the baby/child under their care.
• Support for breastmilk feeding and manage formula feeding of the baby/child.
• Manage bathing and diapering tasks for the baby/child.
• Manage sleep and nap time for the baby/child.
• Create an enriching learning environment.
• Patient, enthusiastic, and fun-loving.
• Loves working with baby/child and is passionate about baby/child development and care.
• Plans, implement, and supervise structured daily activities that include physical activities, rest, and playtime.
• Encourage child to participate in all activities.
• Manage preparation, organization, and supervision of mealtimes and snacks with nutritional food selections.
• Provide responsible care and maintaining all safety standards.
• Ensure a safe, sanitary, and orderly environment.
• Engage in the baby/child activities they enjoy and perform proper and safety precautions.
• Maintain professional and positive relationships with parents, children, and staff.
• Monitor and notify supervisors and parents of any signs of physical, emotional and developmental issues of the baby/child.
• Provide physical and emotional support to the baby/child and mother.
