Duty Manager

A partner hotel of Tifco Hotel Group, The Clybaun Hotel, Galway, is ideally situated between Salthill and Galway City offering great leisure facilities and is located on the doorstep to Connemara, The Aran Islands and the Wild Atlantic Way. With 92 spacious en-suite guest rooms, having undergone an extensive refurbishment in recent times. Our function room can accommodate up to 400 delegates and The Adam & Lohan Suites, with a capacity of up to 50 delegates. We are now seeking a Duty Manager to join the team. Key areas of responsibility include The ability to lead and to work as part of management team with the ability to multitask. To operate the F&B service to the agreed standard operating procedures for F&B in the hotel To ensure complete guest satisfaction through the prompt handling of guest queries in a friendly and efficient manner. Must be flexible, enjoy a challenge, and is able to work outside the comfort zone while maintaining the ability to be objective and positive. Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service. Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance. Manage daily handover report and actively support colleagues on daily, weekly, monthly assignments and reports. Monitor security personnel services. Ensure Support in all Health and Risk Initiatives, Fire Safety Management and Risk Management. The ideal candidate Previous experience in a similar restaurant/hotel is essential. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a high volume/ fast paced environment. Fluent English and excellent communication skills. Must be standards driven and detail orientated. A good team player Flexible and available to work a variety of shifts throughout the seven-day week.
