The Registered Nurse (RN) assumes the accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients. The RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN’s duties include, but not limited to the following: Directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical practice standards. Collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supporting the organization’s vision, mission and values. Utilizing knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Participating in and accepting responsibility for functions delegated to the team. Join the Staffing Office team at either Mary Washington Hospital of Stafford Hospital and enjoy:
- Flexibility with the schedule, minimum requirement of 12 hours per week
- The ability to work in new areas and cross train as opportunities arise within other units
- A variety of assignments within the hospital
- One major and one minor holiday per year required, one week-end shift each 4-week schedule
- The ability to be your own agent – you can determine hours and availability
