Requisition Summary:

The Lodge Attendant reports directly to the Lodge Managers and works closely with the Executive Chef and other Lodge Attendant. The Lodge Attendant is responsible for breakfast service and clean up and assisting the guests during morning departure for their day of fishing. The Lodge is off-grid and remotely located based in Big Bay, BC. Accommodation on-site is available to all staff while on-shift, and transportation is provided to and from Campbell River for days off. This is a full-time, seasonal role for a 5-month period. The expected start date is July 15, 2024, and end date September 30, 2024. Job duties and responsibilities:
  1. Provide quality housekeeping services to guest rooms and the main Lodge, and assist with food and beverage service, at PACCAR’s expected standards, for up to 3 meals a day.
  2. Maintain a tidy guest common area, daily room refresh for in-house guests, and cleaning and preparing rooms on check-out day for incoming guests.
  3. Perform light outside work, watering plants and keeping outside guest areas clean.
  4. Welcome guests back to the Lodge after a day of fishing, and assist them with their gear and coolers, etc., as required.
  5. Assist with drink service, appetizer service, and lunch and dinner service. Clean up after meal service is also included in the daily list of duties.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Ability to work 10-hour shifts Monday - Friday.
  2. Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
  3. At least 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, at food safe level 1.
  4. High school diploma required.
  5. Hospitality or culinary certificate preferred.
