Job Title: Inventory Executive Location: Lakshmi Nagar, Bhavani. Job Type: Full-time (10 to 7 PM) Reports To: Inventory Manager / Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Inventory Executive ensures accurate inventory management in a food business, including tracking stock levels, coordinating purchases, maintaining optimal stock levels, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock audits.
- Order Coordination:
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely receipt of goods.
- Manage inventory transfers between locations, if applicable.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, goods received, and issued in the inventory system.
- Track expiration dates for perishable goods and organize FIFO (First In, First Out).
- Reporting:
- Prepare regular inventory reports for management, including insights on slow-moving or overstocked items.
- Compliance:
- Ensure storage conditions meet safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards for food products.
- Monitor and report any issues related to stock quality or damage.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work with procurement, operations, and quality control teams to forecast demand accurately.
- Address discrepancies with vendors or internal departments.
- Process Improvement:
- Recommend process changes to reduce wastage, improve inventory accuracy, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the food industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, or any specific food inventory tools).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Personal Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
