We are seeking a highly creative and strategic Head of Social Media Content Writing to lead and manage our content team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, digital trends, and creating impactful content for various social media platforms. As the HOD, you will be responsible for overseeing the team’s creative direction, ensuring alignment with brand messaging, and driving engagement through innovative strategies. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement content strategies for social media platforms to enhance brand awareness and audience engagement. Stay updated with the latest trends, algorithms, and best practices to maintain the brand’s competitive edge. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of social media content writers and scriptwriters. Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of team members. Set clear goals, KPIs, and performance benchmarks for the team. Content Oversight: Review and approve scripts, captions, and other content to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with the brand’s voice. Guide the team in crafting compelling scripts for video content, including TikToks, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and long-form storytelling. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, design, and production teams to create cohesive and visually engaging campaigns. Coordinate with stakeholders to understand campaign goals and ensure timely delivery of content. Performance Analysis: Use analytics tools to track the performance of social media content and campaigns. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize future content. Innovation and Creativity: Drive creative brainstorming sessions to generate fresh ideas and new approaches for content creation. Experiment with new formats, styles, and storytelling techniques to captivate audiences. Budget Management: Manage the department’s budget for content production, tools, and resources. Ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize output and quality. Requirements: Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social media content writing, scriptwriting, or a related role. Proven track record in a leadership position, managing content teams and delivering successful campaigns. Skills and Qualities: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and audience behaviors. Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a knack for motivating creative teams. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency in analytics tools for tracking content performance (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights). Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in video content creation or production is a strong advantage.
