Join us.GLOBAL MEDICAL DIRECTORWhat you will doIn this vital role the Medical Director is the single point of medical accountability for strategy and external engagement globally. The Medical Director drives the development and execution of product medical strategies to increase Amgen's value proposition in alignment with product strategies across relevant geographies.Key responsibilities:Contribute to the development and execution of the global medical affairs strategy for Obesity and related conditionsServe as the Medical Affairs Representative on various global strategic teams.Shape the global strategic direction for engagement with top global thought leadersDrive engagement excellence with relevant Professional Societies across the globe, with a particular focus on those outside North AmericaSupport strategic identification of the next generation of OLs, who will serve as champions to transform patient care and educate and nurture community level HCPsPlan and implement strategic OL engagement at major global congressesJoint owner/ strategic oversight of relationships and interactions with EU key policy groups in partnership with internal government affairs and policy colleaguesJoint liaison for external stakeholders who advise us on health technology, value and access in European and similar reimbursed market archetypesPartner with cross-functional colleagues including Commercial, Advocacy, Corporate Affairs and Development on strategy and execution of external engagement planCapture clinical/scientific insights across all key markets and translate them into concrete strategies.Maintain an active role within TA cross-functional meetings to ensure awareness of potential opportunities for external engagementEnsure conduct of medical activities in full compliance with all laws, regulations, and SOPs.Use global infrastructure for tracking, measuring, and evaluating performance and ensuring continuous performance improvementContribute to Amgen's mission of serving patients as the leader in the Obesity spaceJoin our teamYou would be joining a large global team of scientists, clinicians and experts in the Obesity therapeutic area with a mission to serve our most vulnerable patients.What we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
