Maintenance Technician (Must Know Driving Forklift)
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing equipment, vehicles, and engines to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety regulations. This role requires a hands-on approach and effective collaboration with team members to meet organizational maintenance goals. Responsibilities: Maintenance:- Perform routine and specialized maintenance on equipment, vehicles, and engines.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to for optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Use specialized equipment to recondition engines, transmissions, and related components.
- Perform complete engine and vehicle tune-ups.
- Maintain and replace vehicle fluids and filter systems.
- Repair and rebuild brakes, hydraulic systems, and components.
- Replace and repair differentials, drive shafts, front-end systems, and steering mechanisms.
- Comply with safety regulations and perform routine safety checks.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards in maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and services performed.
- Document parts usage and maintain equipment logs.
- Plan, organize, and oversee the work of maintenance team members.
- Enforce workplace safety regulations and procedures.
- Provide technical training to team members.
- Set work schedules and ensure staff adherence to maintenance protocols.
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies required for maintenance.
- Prepare requisitions for required materials.
- Prepare and submit detailed records and reports on maintenance activities.
- Conduct studies to identify and enhance operational efficiency.
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in equipment, vehicle, and engine maintenance and repair.
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, differentials, and drive mechanisms.
- Expertise in engine tune-ups, transmission systems, and brake repairs.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance standards.
- Competence in inventory management and record-keeping systems.
- Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Authority to plan and direct team activities to ensure timely maintenance and repair work.
- Authority to enforce safety standards and take corrective actions where needed.
- Authority to approve requisitions for parts and tools necessary for repairs.
