Job details

  • To deliver student-centred lessons in accordance with the approved syllabi and scheme of work for subjects assigned.
  • To develop, review and update notes, schemes of work and syllabi from time to time to reflect current practice.
  • To prepare assessment questions together with appropriate marking schemes in a timely fashion and grade all assignments, tests, tutorials, projects, examinations, etc. to evaluate students’ academic performance.
  • To have experience in preparing materials related to the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) requirements.
  • To provide pastoral care, support, and academic counselling to students.
  • To maintain discipline among students during teaching sessions.
  • To communicate effectively with students and colleagues to ensure efficient and effective teaching.
  • To perform administrative tasks, including planning, management, and evaluation of a specific field of duty.
  • To follow all the requirements of the University and regulatory authorities such as Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
  • To collaborate with the industry for student activities.
  • To perform other tasks and duties as directed by the University from time to time.
Requirements:
  • Holding a master’s degree in social sciences or related field.
  • Having a minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching related courses and attending Training of Trainers (TOT) for the courses.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with strong command of spoken and written English and Malay.
  • Able to provide students with a professional learning environment that supports academic, personal, and professional success.
  • Positive attitude towards work and people.
  • Passionate about education, self-starter, and a team player.
