If you are a proactive and solution-driven professional who enjoys working autonomously while also leading others, this role will offer both personal fulfillment and professional growth. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ About The Opportunity In this role, you will help lead our Mortgage Servicing team that is responsible for servicing syndicated loans, private lender mortgages, and institutional portfolios. You will not only ensure that payments are processed seamlessly, but also create detailed payment schedules, prepare investor remittance reports, and collaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, lawyers, and underwriters. Every day, you'll tackle challenges that require a balance of sharp analytical skills and thoughtful communication.   • Post-Funding Management: Oversee all post-funding activities, including account administration, payment processing, renewals, and discharges.
  • Payment Coordination: Create detailed payment schedules for complex loan structures.
  • Investor Relations: Prepare investor remittance reports and handle payment processing to investors.
  • Transaction Oversight: Set up payments and diligently follow up on outstanding payments, including those in arrears, maintaining organized record throughout the process.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the key point of contact for clients, lawyers, lenders, and underwriters, handling all inquiries related to information statements, payout statements, and discharge documents.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate comprehensive month-end reports and ad hoc management reports as requested.
  • Annual & Audit Compliance: Prepare and manage annual statements and audit confirmations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Legal Document Review: Conduct thorough reviews of legal documents related to loan closings.
  • Time & Quality Management: Successfully manage multiple tasks under tight timelines, ensuring a high level of quality in every aspect of work.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and spearhead process improvement initiatives that drive operational efficiency and accuracy within the department.
  • Team Leadership: Provide training and coaching to junior team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
  • Special Projects: Take an active role in company-wide special projects as needed.

  • Completion of a University degree, preferably in Finance or Business Administration.
  • 5-10 years of commercial mortgage servicing or other relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of interest rates and an understanding of loan structures.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including strong excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Experience overseeing, coaching and mentoring junior staff.
  • Very strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with real estate and/or lending.
