Information Technology Manager

About the role We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Manager to join our team at MR. PAINT SHOP SDN. BHD. in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This full-time role will oversee the implementation and management of our company's information technology systems and infrastructure, playing a critical part in supporting our business objectives. What you'll be doing

• IT Strategies Planning: Responsible for developing and executing the organization's IT strategy in alignment with its business goals. This involves identifying technology trends, evaluating potential solutions, and making recommendations for technology adoption or upgrades.
• Team Leadership: Oversee a team of IT professionals, including system administrators and network engineers. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's productivity and skill development.
• Infrastructure Management: Responsible for maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, which includes servers, networks, hardware, software, and other technology resources. This involves ensuring the infrastructure is secure, reliable, and up to date.
• Project Management: Oversee various IT projects, such as system upgrades, software implementations, network enhancements, and cybersecurity initiatives. Define project scope, allocate resources, set timelines, and ensure successful project execution.
• System Management and Optimization: Oversee the performance and maintenance of our WMS and POS systems. Identify areas for system improvement and implement upgrades as necessary.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure the organization's IT systems are secure from cyber threats. This involves implementing security measures, conducting risk assessments, and staying informed about the latest cybersecurity practices and regulations.
• Vendor Management: Collaborate with external technology vendors and service providers to procure necessary hardware, software, and services.
• Technology Evaluation: Assess new technologies, tools, and software to determine their potential benefits for the organization and make recommendations on adopting new solutions that can improve efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical concepts into understandable terms for management and other departments.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the performance of IT systems, networks, and applications to identify issues and trends.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT management role, preferably in the manufacturing or retail industry
• Strong understanding of WMS and POS systems in a retail environment
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
• Strong project management skills and familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and IT best practices
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders across all levels.
