We invent and deliver servo electronics and code to satisfy all HDD product requirements. We also develop the required test and debug systems hardware and software to build, debug and validate servo systems in HDD products. This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Manager, based in Singapore. About the role - you will: Bring up newer generation and maintain existing preamp related driver code. Involve in development of next generation servo demodulation channel and SOC. Conduct failure analysis on servo demodulation related drive failures. Develop new algorithms to enhance the robustness of servo systems, especially servo channel, Preamp and power management. Be part of the team responsible for improving servo code process. Be part of the global servo team to deliver best in class servo design. About you: Not afraid to take on unfamiliar engineering tasks and willing to learn. Naturally inquisitive with a strong inclination in technical research. Flexible working hours to attend either early morning or evening conference calls with global counterparts. Able to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines without compromising work quality, while maintaining a positive attitude. Take initiative, teamwork and self-motivated. Your experience includes: Bachelor’s degree or higher and/or equivalent experience. Experience in programming languages, such as C, Python and MATLAB. Familiar with real time embedded systems and digital signal processing. Familiar with Perforce, Jira systems will be an added advantage. At least five years’ experience of HDD servo systems, HDD manufacturing process, servo related failure analysis, servo test, data crunching and analysis. You might also have: Strong analytical skills.
