Office/Project Location: Dun Laoghaire, Dublin Employment Type: Permanent Work Location: Office Based / Hybrid Pay: Salary Negotiable Experience: 10+ years Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required Our client is a leading global provider of consulting and engineering services.Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day support and assistance to Project Managers in the management of diverse multi-disciplinary projects, teams, and stakeholders across a range of sectors. Principal focus will be projects in Transport Infrastructure and Water & Utilities Sectors including inter-sector support in project delivery.
- Liaison, coordination and management of internal stakeholders, Clients, third-party Consultants, Contractors, and other Stakeholders as appropriate.
- Facilitation, coordination, attendance, and contribution to meetings.
- Contributing to and implementing the development of the overall approach to the PMO to meet the desired objectives and outcomes.
- Provision of specific support and assistance to Technical Project Managers to drive commercial performance and overall project delivery.
- Specific support and assistance to the Transport Infrastructure and/or Water & Utilities Teams in the successful delivery and coordination of their resources and deliverables.
- Ensure implementation of best practice and corporate policies and practices in project delivery.
- Development of processes, tools, and techniques to support successful project delivery.
- Preparation and support in developing and maintenance of monthly reports for delivery to senior management.
- Critically review project documentation and tracking of costs, programme, risk, resourcing etc to assess health of projects and identify issues early.
- Analysis of project data for trending, identifies lessons learned and disseminates findings as system improvements.
- Conduct in-house Project Management training as applicable.
Requirements:
- Relevant 3rd level qualification (NFQ Level 8) in project management, engineering (civil), or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in project management, project delivery, and execution across projects of varying size and complexity.
- Previous experience of working in Transport Infrastructure (roads, highways, rail etc) and/or Utilities sectors will be advantageous.
- Previous experience of working in a PMO and as a Programme Manager will be advantageous.
- Chartered Engineer or Chartered Project Professional preferred.
- Qualification in Project Management such as PMP, PRINCE II will be advantageous.
- MS Office Suite (advanced user of MS Excel).
- Scheduling tools (user of MS Project and/or Primevera P6).
- Written & verbal – excellent report writing and communications skills.
- Experience of communicating across all levels in a business.
- Leadership capability and effective management of teams.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in project management, execution, and delivery and/or portfolio management experience, along with the ability to adapt, innovate and meet changing demands.
- Demonstrate a successful track record and strong knowledge & experience in cost, programme, risk, and contract management across engineering projects.
- Strong technical experience in delivery of projects in engineering consultancies and/or related construction projects.
- Have a good knowledge & experience of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
- Proven knowledge and experience of working with/to accredited Integrated Management Systems & Standards including quality, environment, health-and-safety, data security, risk, BIM etc.
- Strong planning and organisational skills and directing tasks and activities of teams.
- Ability to set up ongoing procedures to collect and review information as needed.
- Strong knowledge of project and programme management methodologies and industry best practice.
- Proven track record in dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion and ability to achieve results within the set timeframe.
- Strong and demonstrable management skills including project management, procurement, contract management, financial and scope/change management.
- Excellent inter-personnel skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary and diverse team.
- Demonstrated management ability, proactive development, motivation, and engagement of the team.
- Self-disciplined and capacity to self-motivate.
