Description The Refrigeration Project Manager (commercial and industrial) works within a company specializing in the field of refrigeration, working on commercial, industrial and/or institutional projects. Its primary role is to supervise and manage all aspects of refrigeration projects, from initial design through to commissioning, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to required specifications. Responsibilities •Plan, organize and coordinate refrigeration projects, working closely with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal team members. •Assess customer needs and develop detailed technical and commercial proposals based on their specific refrigeration requirements. •Oversee the design of refrigeration systems, including equipment selection, piping layout, and control system configuration. •Invite subcontractors to bid. •Prepare quotes for clients. •Manage the logistical aspects of projects, such as sourcing materials, scheduling deliveries and coordinating on-site installations. •Develop detailed project schedules and monitor work progress to ensure deadlines and budgets are met. •Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve potential issues and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. •Manage client relationships by providing regular updates on project status, answering questions and resolving issues encountered. •Oversee the commissioning process of refrigeration systems, providing training to customer personnel and coordinating performance testing. •Manage administrative aspects of projects, such as documenting work, managing scope changes and invoicing clients. •Participate in internal and external project meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination between all stakeholders. Requirements •Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related field, an asset. •Experience in a project manager role or related field, preferably in the refrigeration sector, an asset. •In-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems, including principles of design, installation and commissioning. •Project management skills, including the ability to effectively plan, organize and coordinate activities to achieve set objectives. •Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, team members and other stakeholders. •Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in complex situations. •Detail-oriented and results-oriented, with a commitment to customer service excellence. •Demonstrate creativity, autonomy and versatility. •Have an excellent sense of organization and priorities. •Strong management, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills. •Reading plans and quotes. •Have good business sense. •Have a spirit of analysis and synthesis. •Mastery of IT tools and project management software.
