Responsibilities

• Review commercial/operational agreements, including but not limited to colocation service agreement, procurement agreement, construction agreement, land purchase/lease agreement, consultancy agreement, and other legal related documents; collaborate with MY local team and HQ team.
• Take part in company’s claims and litigation/arbitrations, including but not limited to liaising with internal stakeholders and external legal counsels, assisting in collecting evidence, drafting and reviewing related correspondence and internal reporting documents.
• Provide timely advice to internal stakeholders on the legal risks and solutions associated with the Company’s business and operations.
• Monitor and manage all Malaysia entities’ compliance with local company laws and regulations.
• Attend and liaise with appropriate authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Draft and/or support implementation of Company policies including conducting training, as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification of a Degree in Law from a recognized university.
• Admission to the Malaysian BAR is required.
• Minimum 5 years and above of working experience in both in-house and private practice.
• Familiar with the practice of bank guarantee and FIDIC series of contracts and other commonly used international contract templates, specialized in constructions, procurement, and general corporate legal issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to write and review good quality detailed legal documents.
