Description Total Loss Claims Adjuster - Remote, BC Our client, a progressive and large insurer (consistently voted a top employer), is looking for a talented Total Loss Adjuster to join their team! Responsibilities:
- Full investigation, evaluation, analysis, negotiation and settlement of automobile total loss, total fire, total theft and third-party property damage claims
- Conduct claim investigations, including coordinating, consulting, negotiating and collaborating with appraisers, body shops, third party claimants, adjusters and vendors
- Evaluate liability, salvage and subrogation exposure and potential
- Review and analyze losses to ensure files meet the guideline criteria and determine proper kind of loss
- Maintain adequate reserves based on exposure and authority level
- 2+ years prior bc auto claims handling experience - total loss experience highly regarded.
- Proven customer service experience - Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Post-secondary education/diploma.
- Working towards a CIP designation is highly regarded.
