Job Posting Title : Senior API Developer ( ADTaPS - Aon IT Scale) Job Description Summary As part of an industry-leading team you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Operations Solutions Development Team within Aon's Reinsurance Solutions business. Job Description The Senior API Developer is principally responsible for the development, maintenance, enhancements, and delivery of innovative solutions as part of the Aon Digital Trading and Platform services development team ( ADTaPS ).  Team is responsible for the B2C activities between Aon Reinsurance and our clients/partners. As the Senior Developer some of your key responsibilities will involve:

• Responsible for REST API development in C# using Entity Framework and LINQ

• Design modules independently and deploy .NET applications on Microsoft Azure.

• Collect, review, and implement functional and technical requirements shared by business analyst and business users.

• Responsible for Unit Testing to assure appropriate code- coverage

• Participate in regular code-reviews with dev manager.

• Run performance matrix on Apis. Identity and address performance issues.

• Write complex queries, stored procedures using SQL and T-SQL

• Identity and troubleshoot production issues by collaborating with other teams

• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients

• Create project documentation to help train support team on new implementations.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of IT application development and implementation experience.

• 2+ years of experience in RESTful APIs

• Experience working in Azure solutions.

• Strong C# skills, including experience in LINQ, REST API consumption, and asynchronous application development.

• Experience implementing RESTful APIs using .Net 6.

• Experience in Entity Framework. Entity Framework Core a plus.

• Experience or knowledge in Dependency Injection.

• Experience in Microsoft T-SQL, experience working Stored Procedures, Scalable Functions.

• Knowledge in Azure SaaS offerings. With proven track record using Azure Functions, Durable Functions, APIm , Event Hub, Event Grid, Logical Apps.

• Experience working with Kubernetes containers (AKS preferable).

• Experience in Data Dog a plus or similar logging framework.

• Experience in Continuous Integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). Experience in ADO pipelines a plus.

• Experience working in teams following Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering , Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field.
