Description The Laborer - pipe laying works within a company specializing in excavation and civil engineering. Its main role is to assist in the laying of underground pipes, particularly for sewer, aqueduct and stormwater networks. Responsibilities •Carry out the installation of underground pipes in accordance with plans and specifications. •Participate in site preparation tasks, such as digging trenches and preparing materials. •Transport and handle pipes, fittings and other materials necessary for laying pipes. •Assist with the installation and fixing of pipes while respecting safety standards. •Participate in backfilling and compaction operations after laying the pipes. •Report any non-compliance, deficient working methods or other anomalies that could harm the company. •Carry out construction work with the equipment and tools at their disposal following the rules of the trade and avoiding improper use of equipment. •Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. •Follow directions from the foreman and other team members to ensure efficient operations on site. •Perform any other task, depending on the specific needs of the company. Requirements •Hold a valid certification for your occupation, an asset. •Certification in health and safety on construction sites. •Experience in similar functions, an asset. •Knowledge of rules, policies, procedures, laws and standards in the construction field. •Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and moving heavy loads. •Knowledge of safety measures on construction sites. •Ability to follow instructions and work in a team. •Valid driver's license an asset. •Reliability and punctuality in the execution of assigned tasks.
