Job Reference: 493192 Position Overview: A Level-C academic is expected to contribute to the teaching effort of the university, particularly at undergraduate and graduate diploma levels, and to develop scholarly, research, and/or professional expertise relevant to the profession or discipline. The academic will be responsible for teaching and administration of undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education programs in the areas of business law, sustainability, and ethics within the School. The role primarily contributes to teaching International trade law, business law, sustainability, and ethics units at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducting competitive, industry-focused research on business, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Reporting Line: The position reports to the Head of Department, Business Law and Taxation. Supervisory Responsibilities: As assigned. Financial Delegation and/or Budget Responsibilities: Not applicable. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to curriculum development, innovation, enhancement, and quality assurance in the undergraduate and postgraduate units.
- Deliver innovative and excellent teaching, learning, and assessment experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Conduct original research, develop an active record of publication, and build a profile of grants and supervision.
- Participate in collaborations with other universities and with government, industry, and/or civil society to drive research impact and educational excellence.
- Support the management of education, research, and/or administration in the School through participation in committees.
- Deliver units using different pedagogies, including fully face-to-face, flipped or blended learning, and fully online.
- A doctoral qualification (PhD) or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to teach in a university environment.
- Demonstrated ability to produce excellent research and supervise Undergraduate/Honours students.
- Demonstrated ability to work with partners in universities, government, and/or civil society.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in collaboration and teamwork.
