- Support and enhance Sunway Healthcare Group’s treasury function, ensuring effective management of cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk.
- Daily treasury operations, including cash management, forecasting, and optimizing working capital, particularly among business units within SHG.
- Maintain strong banking relationships and assist in the execution of the company’s financing strategies to ensure adequate fund and liquidity.
- Compile and issue reports detailing conclusions and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Perform daily cash management activities of the Group, including preparation of cash flow reports and managing daily fund transfers among various bank accounts held with financial institutions.
- Assist in executing and monitoring external placements in unit trust funds and assess the annualized returns of the funds on a monthly basis.
- Manage the Group’s intercompany fund transfers and intercompany borrowing/loans.
- Manage the Group’s short and long-term financing requirements, ensuring optimal working capital utilization.
- Assist various business units with the opening of bank accounts and the setup of internet banking for balance inquiries, bank statement downloads, fund transfers, etc.
- Perform and implement key controls in the daily cash management cycle.
- Perform month-end closing reports.
- Assist in liaising with financial institutions in securing external loans and sukuk issuance alongside legal counsels.
- Monitor bank loans, especially relating to interest and loan-related payments/processes.
- Assist in the compilation and reporting of monthly outstanding borrowing positions, cash balance positions, and key treasury ratios.
- Participate in establishing and/or maintaining risk management practices within the Group, in line with various risk and compliance guidelines.
- Perform checking and verification on ad-hoc queries from various stakeholders.
- Perform testing in projects related to treasury and cash management.
- Assist in ad-hoc tasks/projects assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any professional or finance equivalent. Preferably with certification of ICAEW/ACCA/CPA/MIA/CIMA or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in a corporate treasury environment in a public listed company . Familiarity with FX, unit trust, and fixed income products for hedging is an added advantage.
- Skills: Strong treasury, finance, and tax knowledge, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, presentation and writing, analytical and problem-solving, and interpersonal and communication skills.
