Job Description Reporting to the Market Access Head, the candidate will be responsible for the country’s market access Strategic Plan and country’s pricing policy and procedure. A thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical market environment, country policies, changes in regulatory requirements, pricing change due to political/economic development, and others will allow the job holder to craft the MA strategy for the affiliate. Engaging with key external and internal stakeholders, the candidate is required to provide input towards the sales and marketing planning process. Major Duties and Responsibilities Pricing

  1. Monitor and maximize pricing opportunities in trade and distribution channels.
  2. Generate competitive pricing analysis.
  3. Ensure pricing is up-to-date on GPMS.
  4. Prepare pricing proposals for formulary listing (with or without tender) to private and government sectors [Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Defense (MOD)].
  5. Visit private payers to maximize opportunity on price increase and mitigate risk of price erosion.
  6. Implement price change strategies in cooperation with sales and marketing to increase overall productivity.
  7. Provide customer programs to support the sales force in maximizing pricing opportunities.
Tender
  1. Monitor and manage tender renewal of existing business.
  2. Provide oversight on RFP process and drive contract compliance through the sales team.
  3. Seek opportunities to increase the number of products listed in the tender.
  4. Support tender specifications that increase quality and compliance.
Horizon Scan
  1. Monitor external environment on changes and developments relating to:
  2. Policies – including formulary listing and tender.
  3. Regulatory.
  4. Pricing.
  5. Coverage.
  6. Competitors.
Disseminate insights to key stakeholders on the business implications, as well as proposals of action plans. Develop Country Market Access Plan, including:
  1. Mapping customers, defining/optimizing coverage, ensuring quality access including seeking opportunities in non-traditional market segments.
  2. Engaging with and visiting external customers, including authorities.
  3. Conducting forward-looking opportunity and risk assessments.
  4. Working with sales and marketing teams to support business expansion to private hospitals, MOH/MOE/MOD, and preparing dossiers for formulary listing.
  5. Engaging with HTA (Health Technology Assessment) Agencies.
  6. Building and leading local external engagement.
  7. Representing EPD at local industry associations and proactively driving off-patent policies.
  8. Initiating key initiatives such as health economic studies.
  9. Seeking opportunities for products in tender (renewal, pricing) and insurance agencies.
Knowledge & Experience:
  1. 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical/FMCG, related industry, or payer organization.
  2. Possess good influencing skills while working through the affiliate team.
  3. In-depth knowledge about the country’s healthcare system and MA decision-making.
  4. Strong local customer network (Market Access decision-makers and influencers).
  5. Good financial understanding.
  6. Winning mentality, dynamic, innovative, customer-focused, and a cross-functional team player.
Minimum Qualification: University degree. Additional education in Public Health, Medicines, Pharmacy, or Health Economics is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
