About the role We are seeking an experienced Audit Semi Senior to join our growing team at SFAI Malaysia in our Bangsar South office in Kuala Lumpur. As an Audit Semi Senior, you will play a vital role in external audit engagements for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career progression and development within our dynamic organisation. What you'll be doing
- Planning and executing external audit assignments for clients in various industries
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of audit services
- Identifying and addressing audit risks, evaluating internal controls, and recommending improvements
- Preparing audit workpapers, financial statements, and other deliverables
- Providing technical support and training to junior team members
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and proactively addressing their needs
- Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in external auditing, preferably in a similar role
- Good understanding of Malaysian Private Entity Reporting Standard (MPERS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Proficient in using audit software and Microsoft Office applications
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and upholding professional ethics
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and a professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA)
