Gardener

Reporting to the Head Gardener General maintenance and development of the grounds and gardens of a large private estate in South Tipperary. Working as part of a small team, the ideal candidate must have a desire to work at a broad range of gardening jobs and an ability to carry out work to a high standard. A background in horticulture is desirable. Horticultural qualifications are not essential. The successful candidate, however, is someone with a willingness to learn, a keen eye for detail, who enjoys physical work and has a keen interest in gardening. Basic knowledge and the ability to use a broad range of machinery and hand tools is essential. Full training will be provided, and continued opportunities to develop new skills will be encouraged. Responsibilities: Roles will include lawn care, maintenance and development of borders, pruning, hedge cutting, weeding, seasonal container displays, and planting of trees, shrubs, and perennials.
