Develop your career with a great team. Wicklow Veterinary Clinic has an opening for a Clinical Director to start in February 2025. This is a full-time position for an experienced Mixed Veterinary Practitioner who will provide leadership and management to the practice team ensuring that we continue to maintain our high standards of patient and client care. The Role

  • Clinical Director position based in Wicklow Veterinary Clinic
  • Full-time, Permanent role for an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon
  • Monday to Friday 9am-6pm
  • OOH is 1 in 4 weekends plus 1 midweek night
  • Salary is up to €90,000 commensurate with experience level plus discretionary bonus scheme

  • 75% Small Animal, 25% Large Animal, plus a small but dedicated Equine client base
  • Start date is February 2025
Applicant Requirements What we need from you We are seeking an experienced mixed-practice Veterinarian who has an interest in leadership and business management. Our ideal candidate must:
  • Be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland
  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon
  • Be a team player
  • Management experience would be an advantage
  • Be an excellent communicator capable of managing the practice and maintaining excellent relationships with clients
  • Some experience in Equine would be preferable
About Us Join a welcoming and supportive team Wicklow Veterinary Clinic is a busy 5 Vet mixed practice in Wicklow town. Our practice is focused on high quality veterinary care. We operate from a modern, purpose-built hospital which comes equipped with on-site digital x-ray, ultrasound and laboratory. Wicklow is a beautiful coastal town with stunning beaches, the breathtaking Glendalough, and the scenic Wicklow mountains located only 1 hour from Dublin. We have a friendly team and a pleasant working environment which we are proud of. We are all colleagues with the same goal – exceptional patient care and employee wellbeing. Currently, we have 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses, a practice manager, practice administrator, and 2 receptionists.
