ICON PLC is currently recruiting for a Financial Analyst within the Commercial Affairs department, on a Permanent Hybrid working basis at our Dublin, Reading, Swansea or Livingston offices. The opportunity is ideal for a Qualified Accountant, who is looking to build a career within Finance at ICON. We can offer the opportunity to develop a career within Financial Business Partnering and introduce you to working at a global organization. Commercial Finance Analyst duties:
- Support the group by maintaining full global Commercial Finance control and accountability across the ISS division.
- Work with our strategic alliance clients to construct commercial terms tailored to meet their individual needs.
- Coordinate and prepare client-focused budgets and client grids for new business opportunities and ensure all requested information is provided in the final proposal within the given timeframe.
- Attend and participate during kick-off and resource meetings.
- Provide high-quality, timely support to the Proposals team to ensure client proposals are commercially sound.
- Liaise with the appropriate personnel including Business Development Team, Strategic Proposal Development, and Operations throughout the rate and budget generation to ensure that the proposal and strategy meet the business needs in line with triage priority.
- Prepare costs for proposals by interacting with operational departments to coordinate costs and assumptions.
- Clarify contract specifications with the Commercial Finance Manager; Project Manager; and/or Account Manager (where appropriate).
- Maintain filing and tracking tools in accordance with accepted practices.
- Undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Qualified Accountant aligned with a recognised Irish Accountancy body (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA Ireland)
- Previous work experience in a Finance & Accounting department.
- Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating with your business partners.
- Analytically minded and seeks out problem-solving opportunities.
- Emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks at a time.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel.
