Salary: Up to $4600 Benefits: AWS + VB (3 months), Career Progression Working Days: Mon - Fri, 8am - 4.45pm Location: Jurong Island (Company transport provided at designated points) Responsibilities: Design, synthesize, and characterize new polymers using various techniques (spectroscopy, chromatography, thermal analysis). Investigate structure-property relationships. Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot mass production processes to improve productivity and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with other departments for seamless integration of new polymers into production lines. Perform tests to evaluate polymer properties (mechanical, thermal, electrical), determine suitability for applications, and modify formulations based on performance needs. Document research, present findings, collaborate with others to achieve project goals, and provide training on new products/processes. Ensure safe lab operations (5S), train new staff, plan and schedule lab work, manage equipment and inventory, and maintain chemical inventory. Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager. Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer synthesis chemistry, or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of polymerization mechanisms and kinetics. Expertise in polymer characterization (using spectroscopy, chromatography, and thermal analysis). Understanding of material safety data sheets (SDS) and relevant Singapore regulations.
