The Principal Social worker will lead and be responsible for effective delivery of a quality social work service .The Principal Social Worker will be a member of North Dublin Management Team. · To provide leadership, management and direct input with regard to the delivery of a mental health social work service, including therapy and specialist teams to adults who present with moderate to severe mental health disorders that require the input of a specialist multidisciplinary mental health team. · To provide liaison in respect of interagency work. · To provide line management, clinical supervision and consultation to staff, as required. · To lead and be responsible for the effective delivery of a quality social work service for a defined functional area, inclusive of uni-disciplinary and multidisciplinary PPGs. · To lead on service development with particular focus on social work services. · To input into CHO DNCC projects directly related to the development, reconfiguration, and improvement of Mental Health Services. · To input directly into the development, implementation and review of CAPAs and other duties as required in order to respond in a timely manner to the requirements of the Mental Health Commission. · The post holder will have responsibility for the Peer Support Work Service and Family Peer Support Services in North Dublin AMHS. · Support the implementation of the National Model of Care.
