The primary focus of the IT Systems Engineer role is to leverage extensive expertise in network administration and systems support to provide expert technical guidance and assistance in resolving complex IT issues. This role requires close collaboration with other IT team members to ensure IT systems effectively support the organization's business objectives. Responsibilities: Network management
- Responsible for company IT infrastructure network management, including the design, implementation, and maintenance of computer networks with network hardware such as routers, switches, access points, and network circuits.
- Utilize network technology such as HP Aruba, ClearPass, Cisco switching and routing, Fortinet, and Palo Alto firewall.
- Provide network administration support to ensure the IT network operates optimally.
- Keep network diagrams and topology up to date.
- Maintain accurate company network documentation, such as IP Address management (IPAM), configuration changes, and adhering to the network lifecycle management records.
- Quickly identify and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues including investigating and resolving network outages or performance bottlenecks.
- Configuring and deploying network equipment (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) including tightening up security.
- Maintain and support office network and manufacturing plant production network.
- Patch and update network devices to remediate vulnerabilities and network flaws.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures (Server, Network, backup).
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and carry out remediation work.
- Assist in providing systems administration support on server management, WINTEL, and Hyperconverged infrastructure platform, Dell Vxrail, VMware, HyperV.
- Be responsible for system backup and recovery management.
- Patch and update Systems OS/firmware/software to remediate vulnerabilities.
