Sr.HSE Supervisor

General Characteristics Implement safety procedures and policies, manage safety projects, and provide technical expertise in safety engineering. Roles & Responsibilities

1. Maintain thorough knowledge of safe work procedures and rules.
2. Enforce all phases of established safety program as well as special controls.
3. Ensure workforce understands safe work procedures and is competent to perform assigned tasks safely.
4. Administer progressive disciplinary action when required.
5. Continuously communicate safe job procedures for unusual or hazardous operations.
6. Control and strictly implement safety rules and regulations.
7. Coordinate with subcontractors and SAMSUNG E&A Construction Management.
8. Supervise, control, guide, monitor, and evaluate area safety supervisors and officers.
9. Coordinate and respond to site client observations.
10. Find solutions to improve site safety conditions.
11. Lead emergency response for accidents, near misses, and medical events.
12. Conduct site safety meetings among safety supervisors and officers.
13. Interview subcontractor safety supervisors and officers.
14. Analyze accident/incident reports to ensure recurrence is prevented.
15. Formulate action plans for relevant issues and concerns cited.
16. Monitor safety and health performance and recommend actions for improvement.
17. Collaborate with employees and supervisors to identify and correct potential safety and health hazards.

• Graduate / Diploma in Engineering or similar.

• OSHA Certification in Construction Industry.
• NEBOSH Certification (IGC1, IGC2, and IGC3).

• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction safety, including a minimum of 1 year experience as HSE Engineer or Senior HSE Supervisor for small projects (with manpower of more than 500 workers including subcontractors), and completion of a minimum of 3 projects as Safety Supervisor and minimum 5 projects as Safety Officer.
• Strong knowledge of project specifications and standards, with medium to large-sized project experience.
• Experience in oil/gas/petrochemical or power plants as a Supervisor.
• Experience in an Engineering & Construction Company.

• Competent knowledge in HSE.
• Knowledge in performing as an ERT Member for incident/accident situations, chemical spills, fire, working at height, and confined space vessel horizontal & vertical search and rescue.
• Knowledge in PSSR Pre-Start Safety Review assessment, plant operation, and shutdown.
• Knowledgeable in documentation and presentation.
• Good management and leadership skills with a responsible attitude.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.

• English - Proficient in both written and oral communication.
