Job Description The USBE Compliance function sits within the Risk Management and Compliance structure and is part of the bank's second line of defense. The role of USBE Compliance includes: (a) to provide formal assurance within the organization and externally to regulators and other key stakeholders that USBE is compliant with applicable regulations and legislation, (b) to provide advice and guidance to the Board and Senior Management on key compliance risk issues and, (c) to act as a control and advisory function in the three lines of defense. A core component of this is the provision of oversight and challenge in relation to the bank's regulated activities. This is achieved, in the main, through the USBE Compliance Programmes. Purpose of the Role Working in close collaboration and consultation with other team members, the role holder will contribute to the management of the RCM process. The Compliance Officer will have a direct reporting line to the Head of Regulatory Change Management (RCM). The role holder will be based in Cherrywood Dublin. Principal Duties of the Role Holder
- Support the RCM team with the employment of standard methodology to ensure all applicable regulatory change requirements are implemented accordingly (i.e. in line with the required compliance date).
- Provide regulatory change coordination including responsibility for program management over specific regulatory changes.
- Support the RCM team with the closure and validation of regulatory change initiatives, including transfer of the regulatory change program to business-as-usual.
- Maintain good stakeholder engagement and build ongoing relationships with the Business Lines to engender a culture of openness in relation to RCM projects. Establish a network of contacts and foster ongoing relationship within US Bank Enterprise RCM, and other related international entities, in areas relevant to RCM.
- Act as a day-to-day contact point for business line queries.
- 2 - 4 years' experience in a Risk, Compliance or Audit role within Financial Services is essential, preferably with a credit institution or a payments services provider.
- Knowledge of key compliance and regulatory topics.
- History of practical application of Compliance risk management practices.
- Proven track record of working on own initiative and delivering practical outcomes to a professional standard.
- Project management skills with a strong emphasis on prioritization, communication and delivery.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Collaborative in approach with strong emphasis on delivery and execution.
- Excellent attention to detail with a process driven mindset.
