Our fast growing team at Pemo is currently looking for a Product Designer to join our Design department. We’re searching for a skilled designer that knows how to take ownership of tasks and embraces uncertainty with seniority. We’re a small group of two designers and we’re searching for the third one who is more of a jack of all trades, and can focus on the bigger picture, not experts in only one field. He/she is going to take on features and challenges from start to finish, while ensuring efficiency and continuing to elevate our operations on a monthly basis. What You’ll do:

• Design new and existing product features. Lean mentality to quickly test and iterate.
• Design financial “Jobs to be Done” for business owners, accountants and all employee members to improve their financial operations.
• Integrate into our working process as a Product Designer. Working for desktop and mobile (Web app, iOS and Android). Conceptualize with the product team, create and improve every process till the final designs are ready for implementation.
• User Research. Develop qualitative and quantitative tests to improve our knowledge of our user behaviors and scoping of new features.
• Excellent communication skills to co-create during the whole design process.
• Coordinate, structure and improve our design system to create a working process that is agile and purpose-effective. Promote it through the product team and to the entire organization.
• Present new features to colleagues and users.
• Improve and optimize design operations.
• Negotiate and prepare the final Handover for the tech team.
• Develop brand & company designs.
• Software quality assurance tests.
• Understand, set and follow-up product metrics.
• Overdeliver mentality on quality standards.
• Learn together with the team.

What we love about you:

• +3 years of experience in product design. Web, iOS and Android. Startup experience is preferred over years of experience.
• Is fluent in Arabic and English.
• Figma, Notion, Jira and Adobe experience.
• You prototyped and made user interviews, qualitative and quantitative.
• You have great taste for UI design.
• You’ve worked with Design Systems in a collaborative way.
• You have worked with product metrics in order to make a product grow exponentially.
• You have strong experience building complex flows and screens.

Nice to have, but not essential:

• Previous Fintech experience
• Experience working in Squads/Cross-functional (x) teams
• Some knowledge about the MENA region

How is the design culture at Pemo? We are a small team building an exceptional design foundation for the upcoming years. The company founders understand the business value design brings to the company and supports its growth strongly. The new Product Designer would report directly to the Product Design Manager, which has a long startup background building products from scratch and scaling them quickly. He has experience on creating personal development plans for each team member and allocates resources accordingly. Some of the design goals for next year are:

• Continue building a scalable design system for all products involved (Web, mobile apps and product marketing)
• Clean up the whole user experience working on all the main flows
• Create an international design team that compliments and grows on top of each other
• Keep prioritizing on top of quarter OKRs and planning our roadmaps in a collaborative way
