Joinery Draftsman - Remote

This is a remote position. We are seeking a skilled Joinery Draftsman with a strong background in producing accurate and detailed shop drawings for joinery projects, including furniture, cabinetry, doors, and other custom woodwork. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of joinery processes, materials, and AutoCAD software to ensure high-quality and precise designs aligned with project specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed technical drawings for custom joinery projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal production and technical teams to translate concepts into actionable designs.
- Review client and design team specifications, ensuring drawings meet functional and adequate requirements.
- Modify and revise designs based on feedback from clients or internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, building codes, and project budgets.
- Maintain a library of joinery details and templates for consistent documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers to specify materials, hardware, and other necessary components.
- Ensure that the final drawings are approved and shared with the production team efficiently and effectively.
- Participate in on-site inspections to ensure accuracy and quality alignment with designs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other drafting/design software.
- Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, finishes, and production processes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and translate them into joinery shop drawings.
- Ability to work independently and report issues or concerns on time to get the job done.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing precise, high-quality work.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to client-specific needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Prior experience in the interior fit-out or joinery industry is preferred.
