Description The Carpenter-Joiner Foreman works within a construction and renovation company, involved in various residential, commercial, institutional and/or industrial projects. Its main role is to supervise carpentry and joinery activities on construction sites, while ensuring coordination and effective management of teams. He may also be required to actively carry out carpenter-joiner work, which varies depending on the site and the company. Responsibilities Supervise a team of carpenters on job sites, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with quality standards. Plan and organize construction and renovation activities, taking into account timelines, available resources and project requirements. Monitor the progress of the work, coordinating the different stages of construction with other trades. Participate in the execution of carpentry work in collaboration with the team. Participate in reading plans and technical specifications, and ensure their correct implementation in the field. Ensure proper coordination of work with other trades on the site. Ensure safety on construction sites by applying safety standards and procedures, and ensuring that personal protective equipment is used. Manage supplies of materials and equipment necessary to carry out the work, placing orders as necessary and controlling stocks. Train and supervise team members, transmitting good working practices and developing their technical skills. Collaborate fully with the project director, project manager and/or superintendent. Ensure communication with clients, architects, engineers and other project stakeholders, in order to meet their needs and guarantee their satisfaction. Contribute to the continuous improvement of work processes and the optimization of construction and renovation methods. Requirements Hold a valid certification for your occupation. Certification in health and safety on construction sites. Degree in carpentry or equivalent experience in the field. Experience as a carpenter, with a solid knowledge of construction techniques and materials used. Experience in supervising or managing teams on construction and renovation sites. Skills in reading plans and interpreting technical specifications. Ability to work independently and make decisions quickly and effectively. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong customer orientation. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and unforeseen events. Attention to detail and rigor in the execution of tasks, with a commitment to quality and safety. Valid driver's license and availability to travel to job sites according to business needs. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
