Job Summary: We are seeking an exceptional individual to assume the role of a Senior Manager for the Strategic Partnerships and Events Team. As a Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in leading and supporting the team's strategic initiatives and operations. Your scope of responsibilities will include driving business development, managing event and advertising projects, formulating and implementing strategic partnerships plans and evaluating performance. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the team, leveraging your strong event and project management background and leadership skills. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Direction:
  • Proactively identify and engage potential strategic partners to forge business relationships, co-create promotional initiatives, and develop exclusive event experiences.
  • Perform in-depth research on potential partners’ business initiatives, current market trends, and the competitive landscape to inform and guide strategic partnership opportunities and directions.
  • Design and implement short- to long-term strategic plans that align with the organization's overall objectives. Ensure these plans are clearly communicated and understood within the organization.
  • Establish clear, measurable objectives for partnerships, events, and projects. Ensure these objectives are aligned with the broader business strategy and are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Align organizational resources and capabilities with strategic priorities, optimizing the allocation of resources to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and make necessary adjustments to respond to changing market conditions and organizational needs.
Event and Project Management:
  • Oversee the team’s efforts in planning, execution and monitoring of placemaking events, venue hiring, advertising projects to ensure compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Evaluate and implement event proposals, ensuring seamless event and project management from inception to conclusion.
  • Build and manage day-to-day internal and external partnerships across various functions efficiently to achieve measurable partnership results via strong relationships and professional event execution.
  • Lead subordinates to execute strategic local and global creative marketing event plans (promotion/PR/VIP/joint activation) aiming at achieving the company objectives.
  • Manage project progress in accordance with established guidelines, identify potential risks, and formulate mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes, considering concurrent activities within the West Kowloon Cultural District.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project activities are well-coordinated and effectively implemented according to these guidelines.
Committee Management:
  • Oversee the daily administration and reporting for the cross-departmental Public Open Space and Special Venue Hiring Committee.
  • Regularly evaluate committee processes and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Performance Evaluation and Reporting:
  • Evaluate project performance against set goals, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies for optimization.
  • Analyze regular post-event and advertising reports to provide valuable insights to senior management.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Develop and sustain impactful and effective partnerships with internal departments and external stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives through strong relationship management and skilled event coordination.
  • Strengthen communication channels with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration on strategic initiatives, improve strategies, and drive organizational success.
Leadership and Mentorship:
  • Guide and mentor junior teammate(s), providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
  • Cultivate a positive and collaborative team culture, leading by example and promoting a sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, leveraging individual strengths and providing constructive feedback to facilitate learning and development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, cultural industries or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in marketing/communication, sales/partnerships, and event management, or a related field is required.
  • Extensive experience in event and project management, venue hiring, and advertising with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex placemaking events and projects within scope, time, and budget, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in these areas.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), enabling clear and concise information delivery to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in the use of presentation tools and software, essential for crafting and delivering compelling presentations.
  • Highly skilled in organization and time management, adept at complex problem-solving, detail-oriented, and proficient in prioritizing tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, e.g., MS Office, Photoshop.
  • A dedicated and proactive team player possessing strong communication and presentation abilities. An open learner with a creative mind to explore new frontiers.
