MK-Search | Senior Mechanical Estimator

We are working with a well respected medium sized M&E contractor with a strong presence delivering across the commercial, healthcare and life science sectors for leading main contractors who are looking for a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join their London business unit. Reporting to the Pre-Construction Directorwho is based in London you will be part of an experienced preconstruction team working across 3-4 live commercial/life sciences projects and new tenders. As theMechanical Estimator, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of mechanical projects. From initial tender inquiries to final submission, you will manage the entire estimation process, utilising the company softwareto price up mechanical packages effectively.

• Preparing detailed estimates for large scale commercial and life sciences projects, with mechanical packages ranging from £5m - £10m upwards.
• Managing the tendering process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of tenders
• Reviewing and interpreting project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to produce accurate costings
• Sourcing and negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and cost-effective bids
• Usingsoftwareto generate estimates and pricing for ductwork and pipefitting installations
• Liaising closely with the Preconstruction Directorand Project Managersto ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets
• Managing project variations and providing revised costings where required
