We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated EC&I Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Delkia. Overview of the role Successful candidates will be a competent and proven EC&I Design engineer, capable of producing, checking and facilitating designs, drawings, supporting calculations and technical documents (inc. Plans) with minimum supervision. They will have the ability to translate a client's requirements into a meaningful engineering and technical solution. Good communication skills and EC&I design skills are essential. Key responsibilities:
- Maintain the Engineering Quality of the project delivery, ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards and local domain policy and procedures.
- Assist in production of conceptual designs, optioneering studies, requirements capture, user requirements specification and use cases.
- Experience in designing for functional safety systems is desirable.
- Have experience of lifecycle and maturity management.
- Quickly self-deliver pragmatic systems solutions from a brief problem statement.
- Maintain compliance with Engineering Standards and applicable legislation.
- Participate in Design and System Level Reviews. Ensure that subsequent design meets the project and client requirements.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients is upheld.
- Ensure effective project delivery to time and cost.
- Support and mentor apprentices / graduates (where appropriate).
- Good working knowledge of EC&I Design Software, E.g. Autocad Electrical, E-Plan P8 or similar
- Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or relevant experience
- Must be able to obtain or hold suitable security clearance and be a British National
- Conversant with the Office 365 suite of software
- Plant process knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of one or more of a variety of PES technologies – PLC, SCADA, DCS, SQL Server, Modicon M, MIS/HLS
