Senior Developer at Tertiary Education Commission, Wellington

The purpose of this role is the development and support of TEC's core data collection systems. The role involves developing software iteratively with the Business Owner, Product Owner, and various business and technical teams across TEC. We are currently recruiting for a Senior-level Developer position. This is a Wellington-based role. He angitūtanga: About the Role Reporting to the Team Leader - Data Collection Systems this role will be responsible for developing software iteratively with the Business Owner, Product Owner, and various business and technical teams across TEC.- Working within an agile environment to develop TEC's core data collection systems
- Maintain and support the core data collection systems and make enhancements according to project specifications
- Working with the business and product owners to understand new functionality and bringing good analytical and problem-solving abilities to the table
- Applying enterprise architecture standards and tools to achieve well-engineered outcomes
- Code reviews as part of the software development lifecycle
- Providing good written and oral communications skills including the ability to speak, write and explain technical information to non-technical people
- Ability to coach and mentor intermediate level Developers
- Solid experience in .Net Core / ASP.NET Core
- Experience or understanding of Azure platforms
- Solid experience T-SQL
- Solid experience DevOps (CI/CD)
- Experience in cloud computing infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Cloud PaaS services, especially Azure
